Purpose

Gaspen-Silicone is designed for the use as defoamer in all types of water-based drilling muds, but the maximum effect of defoaming is achieved in clayless, biopolymer inhibiting drilling mud systems with high degree of mineralization.

Gaspen-Silicone has the following advantages:

  • It is more effective at doses much lower than its organic analogs on the basis of polyatomic alcohols;
  • It is more stable in broad range of temperatures, compared to organic analogs on the basis of polyatomic alcohols;
  • It is chemically inert.
