Purpose

WellFix RTD-3 is used as a setting retarder in the production of dry building mixtures based on gypsum binder. WellFix RTD-3 is adsorbed on the surface of the binder particles during the hydration process, isolates calcium ions, preventing their contact with water and the formation of crystal nuclei, thereby slowing down the setting. WellFix RTD-3 setting retarder does not affect the strength gain of the binders.

Recommendations to application

WellFix RTD-3 setting retarder is introduced into the mixture by dry mixing. The recommended dosage of the additive is 0.01-0.15% of the mixture weight. The optimal dosage of the additive is determined by laboratory tests.
