Purpose

Calcium formate is used as an additive to accelerate the setting process or as an antifreeze additive in the manufacture of dry building mixtures, mortars and concretes. Calcium formate intensifies curing due to the formation of new crystallization centers, thereby accelerating the process of structure formation.

Recommendations to application

Calcium formate is introduces in an amount of 2.0-4.0% of the finished mixture weight. The optimal dosage of the additive is determined by laboratory tests.
