Sodium formate -

Purpose

Sodium formate is used as an antifreeze admixture in the production of dry construction mixes, mortars and concretes. The action of the admixture provides lower freezing temperatures of the physically unbound water with additional effects of water reduction and accelerated strength gain, and as a result of this, continued hydration of cement at the temperatures of the mixture down to minus 15°С.

Recommendations to application

Calcium formate is introduces in amount of 2.0-4.0% of the finished mixture weight. The optimal dosage of the additive is determined during laboratory tests, we recommend to contact Himprom representatives to choose the right concentration.
