Hydra DESALT is a highly effective stabilizer of metal ions on the basis of chelating compounds.

Purpose

The stabilizing agent of Hydra DESALT is applied in frac fluids as a complexing agent of metal ions. The given reagent neutralizes ions of calcium, magnesium, iron (II and III), manganese, copper, transforming them into water-soluble compounds. As a result of this, thermal stability of cross-linked polysaccharide gel grows without additional increase of guar concentration. Stabilizing agent of Hydra DESALT is environmentally friendly and has properties of corrosion inhibitor. 

In addition, the reagent remains effective over a wide temperature range (up to 140°C) and does not significantly affect the pH level of the hydraulic fracturing fluid.
