HimGel A

HimGel A viscoelastic surfactant is used in the most efficient way of oil recovery enhancement from carbonate reservoirs – as a component of self-diverting acid compounds. This technology is based on the capacity of the self-diverting acid compound to repeatedly increase the viscosity during its reaction with the carbonate rock of reservoir. The resulted gel creates effective local deviation of new acid composition doses to previously untreated sections.
As a result, uniform stimulation of the production zone is achieved.
After the acid is completely neutralized, and its activity goes down, the gel stability and viscosity decreases and previously blocked zones permeability restores.
