Well-killing composition “OilGel” is designed for preparation of operating fluids for well-killing and blocking bottom-hole formation zones, including those with subnormally low formation pressures.

2 forms of the reagent are produced, depending on the condition of its use in a well.

«OilGel S» – dry form;
«OilGel L» – liquid form.

Purpose

High blocking effect, even under condition of high temperatures, and the increase of temperature up to 100°С does not result in any drop of viscosity, in difference from emulsions;
Hydrocarbon solvent is used as the basis, which contributes to retention of reservoir properties;
Blocking is easily removed with alcohol-acid treatment.

Recommendations to application

Operating compositions are prepared on the basis of hydrocarbon material, well-killing composition “OilGel”, activator (30% of sodium hydrate solution) and filler (calcium carbonate).
