Chemical reagents for drilling

Purpose

WellFix L is used as an additive to cement mortars to control gas migration. Gas blocker WellFix L causes slowing down of the minimum static yield stress and creates ideal conditions for transmission of practically maximal hydrostatic pressure of cement column onto probable gas-bearing beds. Gas blocker WellFix L, having been added into cement mortar, considerably improves the adhesive properties of cement stone and reduces its permeability. WellFix L has slight effect of slowing down the jelling time of cement mortar. The additive provides the reduction of fluid loss. To increase its efficiency, it is recommended to use WellFix L together with cement mortars treated with plasticizing and dispersing agents, and the additives controlling the cement mortar setting and hardening time.

Recommendations to application

WellFix L is added into the cement tempering liquid. The recommended range of concentrations is from 0.4% to 22.0% of the cement slurry volume. The temperature range varies from 20 to 130 °C.
