Purpose

WellFix Spacer OBM is designed for the removal of oil film residues of oil-based mud from borehole walls and from downhole equipment through efficient solution and mud dispersion.

Special features

It consists of natural and environmentally safe raw materials;
It has good washing properties irrespective of oil-based mud parameters;
It enables effective cleaning of casing string and borehole walls from oil-based mud;
It enhances lining the hole after the use of oil-based mud;
It can be used as an additive to conventional hydrocarbon solvents in order to improve their efficiency;
It has a wide range of application: in addition to the use as a washing spacer after oil-based mud, it can be used:

to remove asphaltic resinous paraffin sediments

as an additive during acid treatments

as a demulsifying agent during hydraulic fracturing.

Recommendations to application

The standard recommendation for the use of WellFix Spacer OBM consists in the preparation of hi-vis pills and pumping of WellFix Spacer OBM between them as per “hi-vis pill - WellFix Spacer OBM - hi-vis pill” followed by pumping of process water-based flushing spacer with the addition of WellFix Spacer А composition (5 kg/m3 ).
