HimPrevent L — Himprom

Purpose

HimPrevent L is used as a preservative in the production of various water-based paints (water-based paints, stains, adhesives, etc.), as well as household chemicals. The biocide is active against a wide range of bacteria and fungi, preventing the growth of unwanted microorganisms. The combination of a halogen-containing biocide and heterocyclic organic compounds with antimicrobial activity makes it possible to increase the stability and effectiveness of the chemical product.
HimPrevent L has the following advantages:
• provides reliable protection of the product from biological effects during storage, including the effects of microorganisms with high resistance to disinfectants, for example, Pseudomonas aeruginosa;
• does not contain volatile organic compounds;
• the chemical product is supplied in liquid form and is easily mixed with water, which simplifies the process of introducing HimPrevent L into the target product.

Recommendations to application

The recommended dosage of HimPrevent L is 0.05-0.3%. The optimal pH range for the application of the biocide is 3-8.5; at pH values above 9, the effectiveness of HimPrevent L is reduced. Compatibility with other components of the target product and the optimal dosage of HimPrevent L are determined during laboratory tests, we recommend to contact Himprom representatives to choose the right concentration. HimPrevent L must be stored at a temperature less than +45 °C, avoiding low temperatures and contact with sulfur-containing compounds.
