Purpose

NeoInvert Bent Extender is intended to be used in combination with organophilic clay in order to reduce its dispersion time and improve thixotropic properties of obtained suspension.

Recommendations to application

NeoInvert Bent Extender Advantages:

· it improves the viscosity value of organophilic clay suspension at low shear rate in oil-based mud solutions;

· it significantly accelerates organophilic clay mixing;

· it helps to obtain better organophilic clay dispersion in oil bases having low concentration of aromatic compounds (dearomatized, synthetic oils).

Recommendations for use

NeoInvert Bent Extender is added after organophilic clay dilution in hydrocarbon phase. The recommended concentration of the extender is 30% of organophilic clay mass, which is due to nonlinear dependence of the suspension viscosity on the extender concentration.

Depending on the method of manufacture, some organophilic clays may be susceptible or insusceptible to the addition of extender. Preliminary tests are recommended.
