Purpose

Spherolub is designed to reduce downhole friction forces when drilling in deep wells and wells with large vertical departure by smoothing the surface roughness between the drill string and the wellbore. The product is not abrasive unlike glass microspheres and does not have a dangerous toxic effect.

Recommendations to application

Recommended concentration of Spherelube antifriction agent is 5 to 20 kg/m3 to reduce torque and drag. 

When running casing, recommended concentration is 20-35 kg/m3.
