Hydra CID - Dry biocide

Purpose

Hydra CID is used in the oil and gas industry to prevent bacterial decomposition of organic components of hydraulic fracturing fluids. The product suppresses the vital activity of a wide range of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria even at low concentrations. Hydra CID inhibits corrosivity of underground and surface equipment by suppressing the vital activity of sulfatereducing, mucus-forming and iron-oxidizing bacteria that cause corrosivity.

Recommendations to application

Dry biocide Hydra CID is recommended to be used as a biocide during the preparation of tanks before the hydraulic fracturing process. If water is stored for a long time, it is recommended to re-supply it to the tank. The dosage of the biocide required for complete disinfection of water is selected individually on the basis of experimental tests during the evaluation of the effectiveness of the biocide and varies from 0.01 to 0.1 kg/ m3 . Additional laboratory tests are recommended to conduct in order to determine the optimal concentration of dry biocide Hydra CID.
